چکیده
Ocular flutter and opsoclonus are intermittent bursts of involuntary conjugate eye oscillations, in the horizontal multidirectional planes, respectively, without intersaccadic intervals. Patients with ocular flutter/opsoclonus often present oscillopsia vertigo, sometimes cerebellar ataxia myoclonus. can be caused by various diseases, such as postinfectious encephalitis, paraneoplastic syndrome, drug toxicity. Treatment causative disease is primary goal treatment, but cases where they occur a part prognosis for neurologic findings may poor, regardless treatment status tumor. originate from loss omnipause neuronal inhibition on burst neurons within brainstem generator. In recent years, attention has been focused hyperexcitable or disinhibited state membrane.

Abnormal Fixational Eye Movements in Amblyopia
PURPOSE Fixational saccades shift the foveal image to counteract visual fading related to neural adaptation. Drifts are slow eye movements between two adjacent fixational saccades. We quantified fixational saccades and asked whether their changes could be attributed to pathologic drifts seen in amblyopia, one of the most common causes of blindness in childhood. METHODS Thirty-six pediatric su...
متن کاملAbnormal saccadic eye movements in autistic children.
The saccadic eye movements, generated during a visual oddball task, of autistic children, normal children, children with attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity (ADDH), and dyslexic children were examined to determine whether autistic children differed from these other groups in saccadic frequency. Autistic children made more saccades during the presentation of frequent stimuli (than norma...
متن کاملAbnormal eye movements in three types of chorea.
Chorea is an abnormal movement characterized by a continuous flow of random muscle contractions. This phenomenon has several causes, such as infectious and degenerative processes. Chorea results from basal ganglia dysfunction. As the control of the eye movements is related to the basal ganglia, it is expected, therefore, that is altered in diseases related to chorea. Sydenham's chorea, Huntingt...
متن کاملCentral Crosstalk for Somatic Tinnitus: Abnormal Vergence Eye Movements
BACKGROUND Frequent oulomotricity problems with orthoptic testing were reported in patients with tinnitus. This study examines with objective recordings vergence eye movements in patients with somatic tinnitus patients with ability to modify their subjective tinnitus percept by various movements, such as jaw, neck, eye movements or skin pressure. METHODS Vergence eye movements were recorded w...
متن کاملPotential role of anti-GAD antibodies in abnormal eye movements.
Glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) catalyzes the conversion of glutamic acid to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Autoantibodies directed against GAD (antiGAD-Ab) have been described in patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, stiff-man syndrome, and in a few patients with progressive cerebellar ataxia. The presence of these autoantibodies suggests an autoimmune pathophysiological mechan...
